This durable, polyester filter has a pleated design to maximize dirt-holding capacity and is washable and reusable. The 2nd stage iron filter utilizes high purity manganese dioxide to effectively reduce iron, iron staining and the metallic taste in your water by converting soluble ferrous iron into insoluble ferric iron. The 3rd stage carbon filter is a radial flow granular activated carbon (GAC) cartridge that adsorbs the insoluble ferric iron to effectively treat iron. Lastly, chlorine, odors, taste and organic compounds are removed by the carbon filter to provide chemical-free water to every faucet and water outlet.
