The Cardinal Gates Stairway Special Safety Gate (Model SS-30) is the maximum safety gate for pets. As its name indicates, this gate is designed for top-of-stairway or bottom-of-stairway use but is great for all indoor areas. It features a latch that allows one-handed operation. The gate can swing open in either direction. A stop bracket (optional to use but included) prevents the gate from opening out over the stairs, for greater safety. The Stairway Special Safety Gate will mount at angles up to 30 degrees allowing location of a stud when mounting on drywall. Temporary removal of the Stairway Special Safety Gate is fast and easy, without having to unscrew the wall-mounted hardware. The gate is constructed of aluminum which is lighter weight than steel yet extremely durable. A powder-coated finish provides a long lasting, easy-to-clean surface. Two different size width extensions are available: 10-1/2 in. and 21-3/4 in., each sold separately. The indoor Stairway Special is available in White or Black.
